Hinotori 5 Year Old is a Japanese blended whisky made at the Hekinan Distillery in Aichi, which was established in 1949. It combines malt and grain whiskies distilled in pot stills, matured in previously used whisky barrels and bottled at 43% without chill filtration.
Golden in colour, it has a nose of dried fruit and soft orchard sweetness. The palate is supple and round with a lively attack, opening to delicate fruit and mellow grain, and the finish is sweet and lingering.
