This is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Hirsch, bottled from a single barrel at cask strength, 55% ABV, in a 750ml bottle. It was aged for 4 years and 8 months in new, charred American oak.
The spirit goes into the barrel at 55% ABV, a strength chosen for a more subtle influence from the wood. It is described as an approachable bourbon that works neat or in cocktails such as Mules, Highballs and Long Sours.
