This is a vatted straight rye whiskey from Hochstadter's, bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV) in a 75cl bottle.
It is a blend of hand-selected straight ryes aged between 4 and 18 years, sourced from distilleries in Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Indiana and Alberta. Vatting gives a rounded, full-flavoured whiskey.
The notes include blackstrap molasses, nutmeg, mace, clove, German-style rye bread and sour cherry. It can be drunk neat or used in classic cocktails.
