Hooten Young 12 Year Old Batch 1 is an American whiskey from the veteran-owned Hooten Young brand, distilled by MGP in Indiana and bottled at 46% ABV (92 proof) in a 75cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered.
The mash bill is 99% corn and 1% malted barley. It was distilled to 189 proof, filled into second-fill barrels at 140 proof and aged for 12 years.
The nose is baked apple, maple, vanilla and cream. On the palate are apple, mild oak, cherry, a hint of sherry and smooth grain sweetness. The finish is of medium length, smooth and lightly dry.
