Horse Soldier Barrel Strength is a wheated bourbon made in Columbus, Ohio, in a 750ml bottle. The mash bill is 70% corn, 20% wheat and 10% barley, and the whisky is roughly five years old.
The brand was started by two former Green Berets, John Koko and Scott Neil, who wanted to carry on the long link between bourbon and the military.
Vanilla, cinnamon, clove and pepper dominate the palate.
