Horse Soldier Commander's Select VI is a bourbon made in Bardstown, Kentucky, and aged for 12 years in a Bardstown rickhouse. It is bottled at barrel proof and built on a high-rye mashbill. The release is a tribute to the U.S. Army Green Berets, whose story was portrayed in the film 12 Strong.
It was matured in a deeply charred barrel, and the notes describe bold rye spice with a grain-forward character. The palate is full-bodied, with rich caramel and toffee set against a balance of sweetness and spice.
