Horse Soldier Straight Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 47.5%)

Horse Soldier Straight Bourbon is a high-rye bourbon made from a mash bill of 68% corn, 27% rye and 5% barley. It is roughly three and a half years old and bottled at 95 proof, in a 75cl-sized 750ml bottle. The brand was founded by two former Green Berets, John Koko and Scott Neil, and for now the bourbon is made in conjunction with Middle West Spirits. A portion of sales goes to charity. It is described as a classic profile of charred oak and vanilla with herbaceous spice, and an earthy finish backed by the richness of the oak.
