Hudson Do The Rye Thing is a New York straight rye whiskey, bottled at 46% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It was distilled at Tuthilltown Spirits Distillery in the Hudson River Valley from a mash of 95% rye and 5% malted barley, and aged for a minimum of three years. The grain comes from local family farms, and the whiskey is Empire Rye certified and kosher certified. Hudson describes it as brighter and mintier than the classic rye template. The nose is honey, straw and apricot over cinnamon-vanilla rye spice. The palate is lively with mint, black pepper and baking spice, balanced by honey and stone fruit. The finish is long and tingling, with mint, vanilla and warm rye spice.
