Hugel Crémant d'Alsace Extra Brut

A sparkling Crémant d'Alsace from Hugel, made by the traditional method with a second fermentation in the bottle. It blends about 50% Pinot Noir, 35% Riesling and 15% Pinot Gris, and its dosage of around 3 g/l places it in the Extra Brut style. The mousse is fine and the colour a clear pale gold. The nose offers ripe white fruit and apple, with discreet floral touches and a saline minerality behind. The palate is tense and fresh with delicate bubbles, and the finish is straight and lively.
