Hyde No. 5 The Aras Cask is an Irish single grain whiskey, triple distilled from corn in a traditional copper column still and made in small batches.
It spent six years in US ex-bourbon casks before a further nine months in French red wine oak casks that previously held Burgundy from the Côte d'Or. The wine casks give the whiskey a ruby-red colour.
