Ichiro's Malt & Grain 111 Proof is a Japanese blended whisky from Chichibu Distillery, bottled at 55.5% ABV. That is the highest strength for a core blend outside the distillery-exclusive releases. It departs from Chichibu's flagship white label world whisky by including peated malt and by using an entirely new cask regimen. The nose brings cola, shortbread and tobacco. The palate shows candied orange and dried pineapple with subtle peat smoke, and the finish is full of tropical fruit and sea salt.
