This is a single cask Chichibu from Ichiro's Malt, bottled for the Hanshin Department Store. It matured for almost 8 years in a bourbon barrel and was bottled at 63% ABV. Only 191 bottles were filled. The malt is peated, which gives the whisky a smoky character. The bourbon barrel adds sweetness and vanilla notes alongside the smoke.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
