This is a single malt from Chichibu, the distillery founded in 2008 by Ichiro Akuto. It was the first new distillery built in Japan since the 1970s.
The US Edition is one of three highly limited single malt releases made in 2018 for three markets: the United States, London and Paris. Ichiro is the third generation of his family to work in brewing, and he runs the distillery with a slightly experimental approach while keeping close to Scottish traditions.
