Ichiro's Malt Chichibu Tokyo Bar Show Whisky Expo 2017

This Ichiro's Malt Chichibu was released for the seventh Tokyo International Bar Show and Whisky Expo, held at the Prism Hall in Tokyo on 13th and 14th May 2017. It began in a bourbon cask and then moved to a wine cask, which gives a winey character to the finish. The colour is a rich, shining amber with the slightest hint of red. The nose is sweet, like old-fashioned candy, and the palate brings spicy cinnamon. The finish is tannic, and the whisky has soft sweetness and a thick mouthfeel.
