Ichiro's Malt Double Distilleries 2021 Chichibu x Komagatake (70cl, 53.5%)

This is a blended malt from Ichiro's Malt, the brand created by Ichiro Akuto of Venture Whisky. It combines malt from the Komagatake and Chichibu distilleries and is bottled at 53.5% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky matured for more than five years at Chichibu in bourbon casks, American white oak casks and sherry casks. The release was limited to 10,200 bottles. The nose offers sweet caramel, dusty books and tropical fruit. On the palate there is cream caramel, banana and pineapple, and the finish is salty with a hint of tropical fruit.
