Il Santo Vicchiomaggio (50cl)

Il Santo is a sweet fortified wine from Castello Vicchiomaggio, produced in Tuscany mainly from Trebbiano grapes grown around Greve in Chianti. It is noted for its rare concentration and natural sweetness. Ageing follows an old tradition with a passage in wooden barrels, giving a balance of ripe fruit, honey and a pleasant almond note. It shows a bright golden colour and an enveloping bouquet recalling candied fruit and light spices. It accompanies cream-based desserts and dry pastries, or can be sipped alone as a meditation wine.
