A 17 year old single cask Imperial single malt, distilled in 1995 and bottled in 2012 at 52.3% by Acorn, Japan's second-oldest independent bottler of Scotch whisky. It is part of Acorn's Natural Malt Selection. Imperial was founded in 1897. Its history included repeated closures and several changes of ownership, and the distillery was demolished in 2013. The site was later redeveloped as Dalmunach Distillery. The whisky is described as elegant, fruity and gently waxy in character, in a style that is floral and reminiscent of cream soda.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
