Imperial 1979/2023 - Gordon & MacPhail Private Collection - Refill American Hogshead #5317

This Imperial was distilled in July 1979 and bottled in January 2023 by Gordon & MacPhail, as part of its Private Collection in the Recollection Series #2. It matured in a refill American hogshead, cask 5317, and 133 bottles were filled. The nose is delicate lilac and orange with creamy notes and a light touch of oak. On the palate there are apples, pears and nectarines, with fine vanilla. The finish is long, carrying the fruit and vanilla through to the end.
