This Imperial was distilled in 1995 and bottled in 2025, a 30-year-old single malt drawn from a single hogshead, number 50271. It comes from Signatory Vintage's Symington's Choice cask strength collection at 56.9%, non-chill-filtered and without added colour. Imperial was a Speyside distillery that has since closed.
The whisky has a deep amber colour. The nose offers ripe fruit, dried berries and dark cherries, with sherry notes, oak and a touch of spice.
On the palate there is dark chocolate, raisins, walnut and candied fruit, carried by spice and deep wood. The finish is long and warm, fruity and spicy, ending dry.
