This is a 25 year old single cask Imperial, distilled in 1995 and bottled on 12 April 2021 by Elixir Distillers for The Single Malts of Scotland series. Cask 7861 gave 185 bottles at 54% ABV. Imperial closed in 1998.
The nose offers honey, butter cake, citrus oil, vanilla flower and soft tropical fruit. The palate is creamy, with peach, apricot, light oak, citrus zest, crème brûlée and floral notes. The finish is very long and soft, with hints of oak, vanilla and subtle fruit.
