This is a 26 year old Imperial single malt from Speyside, bottled at 44.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle by Elixir Distillers for The Single Malts of Scotland series. It is called A Marriage of Casks because it brings together different types of cask. The whisky is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
On the nose, ripe pear and apple come with soft vanilla and honey. The palate has oak, spices and a touch of caramel. The finish is long and soft, led by vanilla with a gentle spiciness.
