This is a 30 year old Imperial single malt from Speyside, distilled in 1995 and bottled in 2025 by Signatory Vintage for its Symington's Choice Cask Strength Collection. It comes from a single hogshead, number 50274, and is bottled at 53%, non-chill-filtered and with natural colour. Imperial is a distillery that has since closed.
The nose offers ripe dark fruit, raisins and plums, with honey, spice and gentle oak. On the palate, dark chocolate, walnuts and candied berries sit alongside fine spice and oak. The finish is long and warm, with sweet fruit, subtle spice and soft oak.
