This Imperial 35 Year Old is a single malt from a Scottish distillery that closed in 1998. It matured for the full 35 years in a single ex-bourbon barrel and was bottled in 2025 at 42.7%.
It belongs to Aficionado, Murray McDavid's range of long matured single malts drawn from respected Scottish distilleries.
The nose brings oily pineapple, stone fruits and salted butter. On the palate come honeyed peach and a touch of sweet peat, in a creamy, gently spiced texture.
