Refill sherry butt
A 14 year old Speyside single malt from Inchgower, bottled by Douglas Laing for its Old Particular range. It comes from a single refill butt, filled in August 2000 and opened in October 2014, and was bottled at 48.4% ABV. The cask gave 774 bottles. Inchgower stands just outside the fishing port of Buckie, and this is a sherry cask bottling from an independent bottler rather than the distillery's own range. The nose is mature dark fruits and gentle spices, with treacle, liquorice and sweet malt. The palate is big and sweet, with rich mocha, barley and crunchy sugar. The finish is warmly spiced, with a suggestion of cinnamon.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
