A single cask Inchgower from the Diageo Managers' Choice series, distilled on 7 October 1993 and bottled on 14 May 2009 at 61.9% ABV. It matured in a Bodega sherry European oak cask, number 7917, and was bottled as one of 564 bottles in a 70cl bottle. Inchgower was built in 1871, and most of its output still goes into Bell's blends, with only a few single malt bottlings appearing. The colour is deep mahogany. The nose is reserved at first, with liquorice, bubblegum and clove, then pear and red apple once water is added. The palate is dense and drying, with herbal bitterness and strong black tea. The long finish brings molasses sweetness, tar, brine and bitter chocolate.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
