This is an Inchgower single malt distilled in 1995 and bottled in 2015 by the independent bottler Blackadder, after 20 years in sherry butts. It is part of Blackadder's Raw Cask range, bottled non-chill filtered at 57.6% in a 70cl bottle.
Inchgower was built in 1871 and is now part of the Diageo portfolio. Its spirit is known for a slightly coastal profile and a spicy character, linked to a quicker mash using hotter-than-usual water. This bottling is described as a mature, sherried dram with depth, spice and a drier backbone.
