Indri Dru is a cask-strength Indian single malt from Piccadily Distilleries in Indri, Haryana. It is made from indigenous six-row barley, twice distilled in copper pot stills and matured entirely in handpicked ex-bourbon barrels. Dru is Sanskrit for wood, or a vessel made of wood.
It is bottled at 57.2% ABV in a 750ml bottle, non-chill-filtered and with no added colour. Launched in 2023, it won Best Indian Single Malt at the World Whiskies Awards 2024.
The tasting notes describe a mixed fruit basket with vanilla, gentle spice, chocolate and honey on the nose, a sweet, fruit-forward palate with soft spice and citrus, and a long, full-bodied fruit finish.
