Indri Trini is an Indian single malt whisky, distilled by Piccadily Distilleries in the Himalayan foothills of Haryana and sold in a 75cl bottle.
It is matured in three kinds of cask: first-fill ex-bourbon, ex-French red wine and ex-Pedro Ximénez sherry barrels. The malt is made from indigenous six-row Rajasthani barley and aged in a sub-tropical climate.
The nose offers black tea, caramelised pineapple, oak, vanilla and honey, with a little raisin from the sherry and wine casks. The palate brings gentle oak spice, toasted almonds, pineapple, peach, nutmeg and honeyed malt. The finish is long, with soft oak spice and sweet fruit.
