This Inverleven was distilled in 1985 and matured for 38 years in a refill bourbon barrel. Gordon & MacPhail bottled it in 2023 for its Connoisseurs Choice range. Inverleven was a Lowland distillery that closed in 1991 and was later dismantled completely.
It was bottled at natural cask strength, 57.9% ABV, without colouring or chill-filtration, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose offers light fruit, vanilla and citrus zest with fine herbs, malt and aged oak spice. The palate is creamy and lively, with ripe apple, pear, honey, gentle spices and dry wood. The finish is long and clear, with fruit, vanilla and fine oak.
