The extra years in cask bring a richer oak influence, while the smoothness associated with Irish whiskey stays at the front.
In the tasting notes, the nose offers honeyed malt, vanilla, dried orchard fruit and polished oak. The palate brings toffee sweetness, baked apple, gentle spice and creamy malt. The finish is medium-long, warming and lightly drying, with vanilla and oak lingering.
