Irpinia Aglianico DOC "Rubrato" - Feudi di San Gregorio

A red wine from Irpinia Aglianico DOC, made by Feudi di San Gregorio. It shows a deep ruby colour, with aromas of dark berries, ripe cherry and plum alongside light spicy and earthy notes. On the palate it is structured, with present but integrated tannins, good acidity and a body carrying black fruit and a mineral edge. The finish is pleasant, dry and savoury. It pairs naturally with red meats, game, pasta with rich ragù and hard cheeses, and also suits traditional dishes. Serve around 16-18 °C; depending on the bottle's age, a brief airing may help.
