This is the first batch of Isle of Raasay single malt, bottled at 46% ABV. It combines peated and unpeated whisky, matured in rye casks, Chinkapin casks and Bordeaux red wine casks.
The smoke is lightly peated and aromatic. Alongside it come cherry, apricot and blackcurrant, then black pepper and cinnamon, with crystallised ginger, sandalwood, vanilla and butterscotch. There is a hint of saltiness too.
