Isle of Raasay – Cask Strength Hebridean Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 61%)

Isle of Raasay Cask Strength is a Hebridean single malt Scotch whisky from the distillery on the island of Raasay, bottled undiluted at around 61% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill filtered and of natural colour. It follows the distillery's six-cask recipe, Na Sia, in which peated and unpeated spirit matured separately in first-fill ex-rye whiskey casks, virgin Chinkapin oak and first-fill Bordeaux red wine casks before being married together. The 2024 edition ran to 5,500 bottles. Tasting notes mention smoke with ripe cherries, apricots and blackcurrants on the nose; candied ginger, cinnamon, black pepper, vanilla and butterscotch on the palate; and a long, dry finish of sandalwood, sea salt and lingering smoke.
