Dùn Cana is the second release in Raasay's series of that name, a Hebridean single malt bottled at 52% in a 70cl bottle. This Sherry Quarter Cask Release combines peated and unpeated spirit.
The whisky was first matured in American rye casks, then given a second maturation in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry quarter casks.
Peppery spice, dried sultanas and subtle vanilla come through, ending in a lingering finish of salty chocolate with a delicate touch of aromatic wood smoke.
