Isle of Raasay – 'Dun Cana' Sherry Quarter Cask Single Malt Scotch

A Scotch single malt from Isle of Raasay, named Dun Cana and matured in a sherry quarter cask. The distillery works with both peated and unpeated malt, and uses ex-Woodford Reserve Rye, ex-Bordeaux red wine and new Chinkapin oak casks for its own whiskies. Its flagship Hebridean Single Malt is a marriage of six styles, rather than a single defined style left to mature in ex-bourbon barrels. Archaeological evidence points to illicit distilling on Raasay as recently as 1850.
