This is a lightly peated single malt from Isle of Raasay Distillery, bottled at 46.4% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill filtered, with no added colour.
It follows the distillery's six-cask recipe. A peated and an unpeated spirit, both from Scottish barley, are matured separately in first-fill American rye whiskey barrels, virgin Chinkapin oak and first-fill Bordeaux red wine casks, then married.
The nose has beach bonfire smoke over blackcurrant, cherry and dried apricot. The palate is fruit-forward with black pepper, crystallised ginger, vanilla and honey. The finish is medium-long, with butterscotch, sea salt and mild peat smoke.
