Isle of Raasay Hebridean Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 46.4%)

This is a single malt from the Isle of Raasay Distillery, the first legal distillery on the island between Skye and the Scottish mainland. It is distilled, matured and bottled on Raasay, and the strength is 46.4%. It is made to the Signature 'Na Sia' recipe, Gaelic for 'The Six'. Peated and unpeated spirit are matured separately in six casks: first-fill ex-rye whiskey, virgin Chinkapin oak and first-fill Bordeaux red wine. It is bottled at natural colour and is non-chill filtered. The flavours run to dark berries and red wine, vanilla and baking spice, a lift of rye spice and a gentle thread of woodsmoke.
