Isle of Skye 25 Year Old is a blended whisky from Ian Macleod, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The Isle of Skye series is made from Island and Speyside malts, and this release was aged for 25 years.
The nose is rich and oaky, with ginger, vanilla, red apple and citrus. The palate is rounded and fruity, with malt and more apple, giving way to a wisp of peat smoke. The finish is balanced and dry, with lingering hints of apricot.
