This is Martell Cordon Bleu cognac from the 1970s, in a 68cl bottle at 40% ABV and boxed. Cordon Bleu was first introduced by the house in 1912.
Jean Martell set up his cognac house on the banks of the Charente in 1715. His recipe used grapes from the Borderies sub-region and casks of Tronçais oak, a combination he found gave an exceptionally smooth cognac. Later in the 20th century, Cordon Bleu was the standard cognac served on Concorde, the Orient Express and the Queen Mary.
