J.J. Pfister Distilling Rye Whiskey is a straight rye from the family-owned J.J. Pfister Distilling Company in Sacramento, California, a distillery named for John Jacob Pfister. It is bottled at 50% ABV, or 100 proof, in a 75cl bottle.
The rye was distilled in copper pot stills in small batches and aged for a minimum of two years in charred American oak.
It is usually described as showing caramel and baking spice up front, with a warm, balanced palate and a smooth, lingering finish with a hint of spice.
