J.P. Wiser's 10 Year Old is a Canadian whisky from Corby, in a 70cl bottle. It is made from a mix of grains including barley, corn and rye, and aged for ten years in American oak. In the glass it is a deep amber. The nose is rich, with vanilla, caramel, honey and delicate spice, followed by a slightly smoky note. The palate is soft and velvety, with dried fruit and toasted wood. The finish is persistent and pleasantly warm.
