Government House is a South African port from J. Sedgwick & Co., bottled in the 1980s and sold in a 75cl bottle.
The firm traces back to Captain James Sedgwick, who began his career at sea in 1833 as a midshipman with the British East India Company and took command of his first ship, the clipper Undine. After retiring in 1850 he founded J. Sedgwick & Co. in Wellington, a merchant of liquor, tobacco and cigars, and ran it until his death in 1872.
