J. W. Dant Genuine Old 3 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whisky Distilled 2004 Bottled 2007 (1L, 40%)

J. W. Dant Genuine Old is a three-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon whisky, distilled in 2004 and bottled in 2007. It is bottled at 40% in a one-litre bottle. The brand is named after Joseph Washington Dant, a Kentucky distiller of the 1830s who was known for making whisky in a log still. This was an old method from the days when settlers could not afford a copper still. A section of tree trunk was hollowed out with a copper pipe running through it, filled with fermented mash, and steam fed through the pipe to start distillation.
