A blended Scotch whisky from J. & W. Hardie, sold as The Antiquary. This bottle dates from the 1950s and is bottled at 40% in a 75cl bottle. Hardie was an Edinburgh company founded in 1857 by James Hardie, which began as a tea blender and wine merchant in Picardy Place. The Antiquary brand followed in 1888 and takes its name from Walter Scott's 1816 novel. Early labels showed a caricature, most likely of the title character, Jonathan Oldbuck.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
