Jack Daniel's – 10 Year Old Batch 5 (70cl, 48.5%)

This is a 10-year-old Tennessee whiskey from Jack Daniel's, bottled as Batch 5 at 48.5% ABV in a limited release from Lynchburg. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring. The mash bill is 80% corn, 12% malted barley and 8% rye, and the spirit is filtered through sugar maple charcoal before going into cask. During the ten years of maturation the barrels are moved between warmer and cooler parts of the warehouses. Oak and butter toffee lead the nose. On the palate, dark caramel and vanilla meet fruit and cocoa, with a subtle smoky note.
