Jack Daniel's Bonded Rye is a Tennessee rye whiskey and the first rye to join the distillery's Bonded Series. It was released in September 2023 and comes in a 70cl bottle at 50% ABV, or 100 proof.
It is bottled in bond: one distiller, one season, aged in a bonded warehouse. The mash bill is 70% rye, 18% corn and 12% malted barley, charcoal mellowed in Lynchburg before seven years in new charred American white oak.
Candied maple sugar, pear and apple lead on the nose. The palate brings black pepper, cinnamon, fresh mint and barrel char, with molasses, vanilla and dried fruit. The finish is of medium length, with vanilla custard, burnt brown sugar and praline.
