A Tennessee whiskey from the Jack Daniel's distillery in Lynchburg, bottled at 40% ABV. It is made from a mash of about 80% corn, 12% malted barley and 8% rye.
What sets it apart is double mellowing: the whiskey is filtered through sugar maple charcoal before barrel ageing and again before bottling.
The nose is soft, with vanilla, caramel, honey and toasted oak. The palate is silky and medium-bodied, with creamy vanilla, toffee, baked apple, cinnamon and nutmeg. The finish is clean, mellow and slightly sweet.
