Jack Daniel's – Gentleman Jack

Jack Daniel's Gentleman Jack is a Tennessee whiskey that is mellowed with charcoal before it goes into the cask. It is treated with charcoal twice, a step the producer says is unique to this whisky and gives it an especially soft character. Jack Daniel learned to make whiskey in his early teens, around the time of the American Civil War. He worked on a preacher's farm, where the preacher and his head distiller taught him the craft. After the war the preacher sold the distillery to him.
