Gentleman Jack is a Tennessee whiskey from the Jack Daniel's Distillery, founded in Tennessee in 1866. It is made from corn, rye and barley, double distilled, and filtered twice through maple charcoal, which gives a warmer, softer character.
The fermentation is started with part of the previous batch, a method known as yeasting back.
The nose is sweet and soft, with vanilla and slightly spiced, fruity notes. The palate is smooth, with vanilla, cereal, honey and a light touch of pepper.
