Gentleman Jack is a Tennessee whiskey from the Jack Daniel Distillery in Lynchburg, bottled at 40% ABV in a 375ml bottle.
What sets it apart in the Jack Daniel's range is a second round of charcoal mellowing. The new spirit is filtered through sugar maple charcoal before ageing, and the aged whiskey then passes through a shorter second filtration. The mashbill is 80% corn, 12% barley and 8% rye.
The nose is soft vanilla and caramel with summer fruit and a light banana note. The palate is smooth, with banana, caramel, vanilla custard, honey and brown sugar, balanced by gentle oak. The finish is silky and warm, with caramel, honey and a touch of spice.
